Another Year (+) Later...

Here has been what's going on in my life since my last fresh off of a UK high post...

Summer of 2008 came and went... Jason and I moved in together to a lovely apartment in Huntington Beach. We got a Saint Bernard puppy and appropriately named her Lucielle McGillicutty Kaiser.

All of a sudden it was halloween and Jason and Corey were dressed as ZZ Top, I was a ragdoll and Mike Wilson's car was towed from our house. Then thanksgiving was here and we were dealing with going to 4 places in one day, and then spent Christmas doing the same.
We had a small get together at our place on New Years Eve, spent a lot of money buying champagne and muchies. Here comes my 21st birthday where I went to Yard House with a bunch of friends, had a nice rum and coke and some fantasmic onion rings. Next up- Coachella in mid-April where we stood front row for 13 hours in 103 degrees to see the one and only, Paul McCartney. Then there was June 2nd... the day that I broke up with Jason and he left.

I spent about a month on an emotional roller coaster from hell. But, I definately grew up from the experience, and I am a much happier person now. It's just Lucy and I in a new apartment in Huntington Beach. The worst part of all of that was having to drive by his car every morning- on my way to work, knowing he was inside of that place sleeping. He was right there the whole time and I couldn't talk to him without "causing drama" apparently.
Since when are all feelings considered drama? Anyway, Jason is now in Liverpool, UK studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and I couldn't be any more proud of him for taking that leap across the pond.

So my life as of late... still working at Sk8Trip, going swing dancing with amazing friends 4 nights a week, loving my life! I will be venturing over to Colorado this weekend to see my brother, Joi and the boys... I'm very excited for that! Zombieland comes out this week also... going to see that with Matt on Tuesday. The end of October, I will be visiting my buddies in Kansas for a bit and seeing a RAD Gogol Bordello show!

That's all I can think of for now.

Update

There has been many ups and downs lately, so lets talk about the ups first.
I finally made it to England. After years of saying, "I have to go there someday", I finally got there. It was beautiful and I had the best time. I am already missing it, and hope to go back as soon as possible. So- to my Mom, thank you for paying my way to England. It was the best Christmas present ever.

For the downs; My grandfather passed away yesterday evening. He had been sick for quite a long time, so I'm actually glad that he's not in pain anymore and he's hopefully hanging out with my Grandma right now. I know how much he missed her, and I just hope that they are together. I loved him so much, and I'm glad both Jason and I got to say goodbye to him.
RIP Eugene Leonard Alouisis Longtin, we'll miss you.

Work, Promotions, Touring, more work!

Today, after realizing that my co-worker (who is NEVER late) is 4 hours late for work. I began to worry a little bit.
After calling her a few times and not being able to reach her, I called my boss asking if he knew where she was.

Me; "Hey Chris, do you happen to know where Elizabeth is?"
Chris: "OH. I forgot to tell you... she quit."
Me; "..."
I'm pretty relieved because she was really annoying.

So basically, she ran the company.
So guess who runs the company now AND got a raise??

WOOOO MEEEEEEE.
So go visit sk8trip.com and buy a lot of skateboard wheels.

Also, starting August 1st, I will be gone for 12 days on tour with Jason's band. YAY MERCH GIRL.
We're going up through California to Oregon and ending the tour at TomFest

I have added some new art to my epidermis, in case you are curious?
(See, I tried to make it rhyme... not funny at all.)

Fieo and I are best friends now.

So, I'm always forgetting that I have a blogger account and it takes me months to update. I honestly haven't been doing much lately. I'm going to start volunteering at the OCHS (orange county humane society), I'm not sure what I will be doing though. Probably just walking all the dogs, which will be pretty fun.
I figure... why just sit at home and be bored when I'm off work, right? Right!

OH! I got a new car! It's a 99 VW Passat and his name is Fieo. (Like theo, but with a fee)
It's a beauty. See?

Christmas time is here.

BUSY BUSY BUSY.

Christmas season is always so stinking busy.
Who said that because Jesus was born, we all have to start freaking out and get stressed?
Who said that we have to buy tons of gifts for eachother?
Who said that you HAVE to put up outdoor lights? In fact, who thought of putting up lights anyway?
And the most annoying of all...
Who said that we have to say Happy Holidays, "just in case" we offend someone who doesn't celebrate it? For me, it will ALWAYS be Merry Christmas, or Happy Birthday to Jesus.
There's no exceptions anymore.

Thanksgiving Blues

After years of hearing my mom and dad complain about having to go to my grandpa's house for all the holidays, I never understood why it was such a big deal. It was always fun to me, the food was pretty good, and I had good company. Well, I have decided to jump on the bandwagon.

Half of my family chooses to ignore me completely, some of them are too drunk to notice what's going on, and now we have to deal with a crippled gangster who makes fun of me non-stop. Wonderful.

Thank goodness I have an awesome brother/sister in law/nephews who always invite us over!

Holy...

I have just endured the second longest day of my life.

Jason and I got into a really serious car wreck.
Here's what happened...
We were going about 55mph down Goldenwest St. and then for seemingly no reason, this lady in front of us put on her brakes, but it didn't look like she was stopping.

Well... we get about 30ft. away and realize she's stopped because there's a little dog running in the road. So Jason stomps on the brakes and they lock up and we skid into the back of her car going at least 50mph. The airbags came on and hit us both in the face so hard that I can't describe the pain. After we had stopped, I couldn't see anything because of the smoke, I only heard ringing and Jason saying "Are you okay, honey!?" and I could not for the life of me form words to answer him.

So to make a long story short.
Jason's truck is totaled.
I think Jason and I bruised our ribs.
My nose is swollen.
